Pete Lien & Sons Hosts Warrior Pheasant Hunt for Wounded Veterans

Pete Lien & Sons hosted Semper Fi Fund’s Warrior Pheasant Hunt from October 24–27, offering two wounded warriors an unforgettable weekend on private land in South Dakota.

The event provided US Marine Corporal Jared Smith & Army Specialist Bryant Jacobs, whom the Semper Fi Fund selected to participate, with an all-expenses-paid pheasant-hunting experience that celebrated their service and sacrifice. Special guests in attendance included four-star general, General James T. Conway who served as the 34th Commandant of the Marine Corps and Lieutenant General John Sattler, USMC, who led the 2nd Battle of Fallujah. Thank you to the more than thirty military veteran employees of Pete Lien & Sons who volunteered to make this event a huge success.

Over the course of the weekend, guests participated in four guided half-day hunts and enjoyed meals and time together in the western South Dakota countryside.

“It’s an honor to host this event and recognize the service of these individuals,” said Pete Lien. “We appreciate the opportunity to support those who have given so much for our country.”

Semper Fi & America’s Fund provides lifetime support to critically wounded, ill, and injured service members, veterans, and military families across all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces. The Warrior Pheasant Hunt is one of many events that celebrate our country’s wounded veterans.
